In Sanskrit, ‘antha’ means intrinsic and ‘prerna’ means motivation.
Intrinsic motivation is the lifeblood of entrepreneurship, and what drives entrepreneurs to dream and achieve the impossible. Antha Prerna is also the phonetic origin of the word entrepreneur.
The Antha Prerna Foundation, APF, is a US-based 501 c(3) non-profit that is helping immigrant and marginalized entrepreneurs with access, research, resources, and visibility. Join us in empowering diverse entrepreneurs and making our communities stronger.

Research
We are constantly highlighting the challenges and successes of our community. We believe in sharing facts. Data tells a true story and paints a picture worth looking at.
Our research includes our founders’ doctoral thesis on immigrant entrepreneurs, an article on Indian Americans that was published by Fortune, and more recently a series of firsts – lists showcasing publicly listed companies on NASDAQ and NYSE and led by a person of Indian origin, ethnicity. These detailed lists are a testament to the challenges immigrants have overcome.

Entrepreneurship makes people better versions of themselves, creates new opportunities in cities that need them, and stimulates job growth. Entrepreneurs are creating economic opportunity across the world by mobilizing the next generation of talent. However, there is no clear path to entrepreneurship. The entrepreneurial journey is fun, albeit challenging and even lonely. Even more so for immigrants, minorities, and women.
